Originally it was a Congregation built by the Benedictine nuns. Later, the Benedictine Nuns moved to Thu Duc, Saigon in 1966 to establish a new base there. The Congregation facility was purchased by bishop of Kon Tum so that priests in Ban Me Thuot district could meet as a monthly meeting place, as a management office and as a resting place. Half of this facility was dedicated to the Lovers of the Holy Cross, moving from Kon Tum temporarily while waiting to build the Cong Dynasty. Therefore, this place is also called Ban Me Thuot General House.

After the founding of Ban Me Thuot diocese, this house was converted into the Bishop of Ban Me Thuot.
