Son Long Waterfall is one of the beautiful landscapes originating from Ea Puk stream - a stream flowing from Krong Nang district to Ea Kar district. On the flow of Ea Puk stream, there are many beautiful waterfalls, Son Long is one of them.

Located deep in the Krong Nang watershed protection forest, with a length of about 1300 m from upstream to downstream, the height difference from the foot of the waterfall to the top is about 180 m, Son Long waterfall consists of 3 floors, water flows through each waterfall. Stone steps, white foam to create a natural, wild and majestic beauty.

Like many rivers and waterfalls on the Dak Lak plateau, Son Long waterfall is associated with stories and legends told by people around the region.

The story goes that when the inhabitants of the northern mountainous region came to Ea Tam, they discovered a beautiful waterfall like a small Dragon lying in the middle of the high mountains, they believed that this was a small Dragon possessed by the Dragon King in the sea far away. Xoi sent to create favorable weather and wind, lush trees, bountiful crops, healthy people, warm and happy homes.

According to the concept of Tay - Nung people: The Dragon is called Tua Luong and is embellished, raising the beauty to "Flower Flower" or "Rainbow". "Flower of flowers" can suck drinking water, can even suck people up from the ground. Children are often reminded to pay attention or else "Rainbow" - "Flow of flowers" will sweep them up into the clouds. At the same time, the old people often teach their children and grandchildren: The dragon is a beautiful and humane symbol, but "Lai luong is slightly Named"  means: Many dragons depend on not releasing water, the Dragon will no longer have clouds to live and live. will become "The stream of loss and slurry" ie the defeated Dragon turns into a snake. This reminds everyone to live as noble as the Dragon, especially to know how to keep themselves so as not to turn into a poisonous snake like the Dragon when they are defeated.

The northern mountainous residents in Ea Tam commune have named the waterfall where the Little Dragon resides, Son Long waterfall. At the same time, always remind children and grandchildren to live well, love, care and help each other like the good qualities of the Dragon. Always respect and protect Son Long waterfall so that the Little Dragon can live forever in the waterfall, protect and create favorable rain and wind, good crops, and a full life for the land and people here.

Son Long Waterfall, through the stories of village elders in Wiâo village, Ur village, Krong Nang district, has legendary colors:

In the past, when the gods were still in control of the sky, rivers and mountains, the goddesses ruled the four seasons of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, and the chiefs were still in control of the lands and villages, right at that waterfall (now belongs to Ea Tam commune, Krong Nang district) is ruled by a beautiful and talented Queen. People call the Queen's name H'Juh, her body is as beautiful as the sun, her face is as beautiful as the moon, her skin is as white as cotton, her eyes are as bright as the stars, her teeth are as white as ivory, her hair is as black as silk. floating like mountains and clouds, voices resounding like gongs. However, very few people get to meet and admire the Queen's true face.

The queen lives on the top floor of the waterfall in the middle of a deep forest, so people around the area call the waterfall Drai H'Juh (Queen Waterfall). The Queen often transforms into a human to talk to the village elders, whenever there is a drought, the villagers in the villages come to Drai H'Juh to beg the Queen to send rain. She will control the water in the cascades to flow into the streams and fields of the people, helping people have an abundant water source to irrigate the fields and gardens, lush fruit trees, bountiful crops bring a prosperous life. happy. At the same time, grant the village a source of clean, pollution-free water to use in daily life. Whenever someone in the village goes hunting to pick bamboo shoots, goes hunting, gets lost in the deep forest and can't find his way back, just sincerely pray:

- Oh, god of the river, god of the mountain! O Queen H'Juh! My family is poor, my stomach is not full, my shirt is not enough to wear, so I have to find something to eat, I have to hunt deer and rabbits. Now I don't know the way home with my elderly mother, young children, if there is love, please help our feet to go in the right direction, our eyes can see the way to go home. Our stomachs are very grateful to you.

Just like that, the lost people call forever, Queen H'Juh hears the cry, moved by her heart, she will turn the grass and trees, open the way to lead people to the village. Occasionally, the Queen saves people from drowning in rivers, streams, and waterfalls where she rules.

In the village, there are couples who have been married for a long time but have not given birth to any children. They wish to have a child to rely on in their old age. They invited each other to wear brocade clothes, bring sacrifices including: Chicken, wine, pig's head and went over three hills, wade across streams, climbed waterfalls to come to the place where the Queen resides and offer them. pray, pray, beg me. The queen would make gourds of water for the wives to bring home to drink. After drinking these gourds, they feel refreshed, unusually awake, and the wife becomes pregnant, and in the following growing season, she gives birth to a son or a daughter.

Everything the Queen does or helps people is extremely grateful, trusted and respected by the villagers. Therefore, the name Queen is used to name the waterfall where she resides is Drai H'Juh. However, this name is now little known because the Ede people who lived near the waterfall in the past have almost evacuated many places in Krong Nang district, Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province.

Son Long Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall, the scene of the waterfall still retains its pristine beauty, without any human impact. In addition to the poetic and majestic natural landscape, Son Long waterfall also belongs to the forest area of Krong Nang Watershed Protection Forest Management Board with a planned area of 20 hectares, so the flora on both sides of the waterfall is very rich and diverse. form.
