After 1975, Buon Ma Thuot exile house was handed over to the Public Security Company for management, in 1979 the exile house was transferred to the Department of Culture and Information for management (now the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism).

In 1980, Buon Ma Thuot exile house was classified as a national historical relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information. As of December 24, 2018 it was classified as a special national monument by the Prime Minister.
